HOWTO: Create an Essential Email mailbox

Description:

To create a new mailbox:

  1. Logon to the Client Portal
  2. Click 'Services' then 'Email Hosting'
  3. Click the 'Essential Email' service name
  4. Click 'Mailboxes' then the 'Create Mailbox' button.
  5. In the 'User' field enter the required mailbox name without the domain (e.g. john.smith)
  6. Enter the required password in the 'Password' and 'Repeat Password' fields.
  7. Enter the required 'friendly name'   (e.g. John Smith'
  8. Click 'Create Mailbox'

The mailbox will now be listed on the mailboxes summary page.

Important: 

  • The password should be at least 12 characters and a mix of upper and lowercase characters, numbers and symbols.
